German tuner VÄTH has produced a tuning kit for the Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 S AMG, which enables the AWD Shooting Brake to go 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.7 seconds.
The mods start with a 20mm (0.8”) reduction in ride height thanks to shortened springs. The downpipes and the ECU also get reworked for a performance bump to 490 PS (483 hp / 360 kW) and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque. While the stock car needs four-something seconds to reach 100 km/h from standstill, the tuned one manages in 3.7.
Other notable improvements include new six-piston brakes with larger rotors and a set of 20-inch VÄTH wheels shod in winter tires.
