The new Brabus XLP 800 6x6 Adventure flaunts an extreme body kit, supercar amounts of power and an added third axle that’s actually driven.
To achieve this, the German tuners had to cut the chassis and extend it by a whopping meter and a half (60 inches!). They also replaced the stock cargo bed with a carbon-fiber one, ending up with a truck that’s full 6.5 meters (almost 21.5 feet) long.
Aside from the rugged and menacing exterior, the G-Class received three portal axles, KW suspension and up to 476 mm (18.6 inches) of ground clearance. Adjustable adaptive shocks, automatic running boards and heavy-duty wheels shod in all-terrain tires make us suspect that it’s a capable off-roader and then some.
Never one to stop at aesthetic upgrades, Brabus tinkered with the stock AMG V8 to extract 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW) and 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque from it. However, since that engine now has to drive three axles at once, it takes the monster ride from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.8 seconds. It also cannot exceed 210 km/h (130 mph), likely for safety reasons.
Rounding off the impressive project is a custom leather-trimmed interior with microfiber inserts. Price-wise, we don’t know how much this G-Wagon cost its owner, but a similar XLP 900 spec went for an eye-watering €1,450,000 not long ago. That’s $1.7 million in U.S. money.
