The Pagani Huayra BC Roadster Supernova is a one-off masterpiece

When Pagani introduced the extreme Huayra BC Roadster two years ago, it promised to make every hypercar unique and personal. Even so, some examples – like this one – manage to stand out from their peers. Olivier Benlulu, a Canadian collector and businessman, has a Roadster named Supernova after a phenomenon observed as a star burst.

The unique ride wears an Oro Rosa livery (Italian for “rose gold”) with Bronzo Chiaro (“dark bronze”) accents outside and in the cabin. Inside, tartan upholstery goes side-by-side with brown leather, artificial suede, aluminum, and carbon fiber of varying hues. The dash gauges are framed with gold.

A 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 occupies the engine bay and links to an Xtrac six-speed sequential transmission, as well as an electronic rear differential. The wheels receive up to 802 PS (791 hp / 590 kW) along with 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft) of torque. No acceleration figures are provided, but the car weighs as low as 1,250 kg (2,755 lbs), so it should be lightning fast. The regular Huayra BC needed three seconds to get to 100 km/h (62 mph) and could reach 370 km/h (230 mph).
Standard equipment includes four-point safety harnesses, a nine-speaker audio system and electronic shock absorbers. There are 40 BC Roadsters out there in total priced starting from the equivalent of U.S. $3.5 million.
Benlulu also has a Bugatti Chiron in his collection, and is planning on adding a Mercedes-AMG One there soon.
