Polestar 5 heading to IAA Munich

It is now official that the all-electric Polestar 5 sedan will be introduced at the IAA Mobility Expo in Munich, Germany in September.

The model number five was announced back in 2021 with the production target set for 2024, but the company took its time fixing issues and polishing the car. It’s being marketed as an alternative to the likes of Mercedes-Benz EQS and Porsche Taycan, so rushing the production was never an option.

In its flagship guise, the Polestar 5 will pack dual electric motors driving all four wheels with a combined 884 PS (872 hp / 650 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque.
