Video: Techart-tuned Porsche 911 (992) Turbo S gets a detailed review

The Autobild team got its hands on a shiny new Porsche 911 (992) Turbo S with Techart mods on a couple of months ago, and here’s what they have to say regarding the car.

In its stock form, the generation 992 pumps out 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW) to the wheels. The German tuner has boost options up to 785 PS (774 hp / 577 kW) listed in its catalog, but this example received a relatively ‘mild’ tune-up to 710 PS (700 hp / 522 kW). The peak torque went up 100 Newton-meters to 900 Nm (664 lb-ft).

As a result, the coupe now bridges the gap between zero and 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.6 seconds and goes twice as fast in just 8.1 seconds. This is 0.1 and 0.8 seconds faster than stock, respectively.

The exterior flaunts new carbon-fiber nose and tail, side skirts, a rear wing and Formula-VI lightweight rims. Inside, novelty largely manifests through blue fabric inserts on the seats and an aftermarket steering wheel with a 12-hour mark. A roll cage resides where the rear seats once were, and the suspension keeps the 911 closer to the ground thanks to shortened springs.

Techart charges around €70,000 for such tuning, including installation and certification costs in Germany.
