Chinese premium vehicle manufacturer Voyah has facelifted its most affordable SUV on the lineup: the Zhiyin, known in the export markets as the Courage. There is no mention of any powertrain upgrades, but both the exterior and the cabin have been reworked.
Starting at the front, there is a new bumper, a reshaped hood and a solid faux grille richly encrusted with LEDs. It comes with eight built-in animation presets, but users can add custom scripts as well.
The c-pillars look different, too, and the whole car is now considerably longer at 4,810 mm (187.9 inches) with 2,925 mm (114.3 inches) between the axles. That’s about 85 mm (3.3 inches) longer with 25 mm (1 inch) of added wheelbase.
Inside, the overall layout stays the same, but the steering wheel and the digital dashboard are new. The transmission tunnel and the dashboard trim look slightly different as well. The infotainment system keeps its standalone display.
The currently available Voyah Zhiyin is offered in China with all-electric powertrains ranging from 292 to 313 PS (288–309 hp; 215–230 kW, respectively). Depending on the battery and other configuration options, range varies from 625 to 901 kilometers (388–560 miles). Only the flagship spec with the biggest battery and motor has been confirmed for the facelift so far.
Prices were only revealed in October last year. In China, the EV started from 179,900 Yuan. The sales must have been dangerously slow for the company to rush a largely aesthetic update like that.
