Cybertruck’s new wheels withstand nearly 1.5 metric tons each

U.S.-based electric vehicle tuner Unplugged Performance has announced another cool wheel set for a Tesla vehicle. It’s called the UP Forged Cybrnova and targets the Cybertruck.

Each wheel measures 24 inches across and sports a nine-spoke design with an added reinforcement ring. Forged from 6061-T6 grade aluminum, they are rated for loads reaching as high as 3,195 pounds per wheel (that’s 1,450 kilograms). This implies that all four can carry up to 12,800 lbs (5,800 kg) under ideal conditions – quite impressive and handy for what’s already a very heavy electric pickup.

Customers can choose from three available finishes including Bronze, Titanium and Black. By default, the tuner recommends Nitto Recon Grappler sized 295/45 R24 for minimum resistance and maximum range. If you’d like a fatter set, though, 315/45 R24 will do as well.

According to UP, no wheel spacers are necessary for installation. The full four-wheel set comes in at U.S. $7,195. You can already leave a preorder, with the deliveries expected to begin in several weeks.
