Alpina spices up the facelifted BMW 3- and 4-Series

BMW tuning specialist Alpina has released its own version of the latest 3- and 4-Series. Called the B3 GT and B4 GT respectively, the sedan, wagon and liftback all feature the tuner’s standard scope of aftermarket upgrades and can rival the M3 and M4 in terms of specifications. Alpina is already taking orders, but the deliveries in Europe won’t begin until November.

The 3.0-liter inline-six turbo gets massaged to 529 PS (522 hp / 389 kW) and 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) of torque. For comparison, the recently updated M3 Competition churns out one horsepower more, but only 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque.

The B3 GT sedan is the fastest of the trio with a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint time of 3.4 seconds. Alpina claims it’s one-tenth of a second faster than the stock M3. The Touring wagon and the liftback are one-tenth of a second slower.

The company mentions assorted improvements to the ZF automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive system, suspension tweaks, new multi-spoke wheels sporting a signature Alpina look, and improved trimming materials for the cabin.

When the shipments start in Europe in November, the Alpina B3 GT sedan will cost a minimum of €101,700. The five-door B4 GT Gran Coupe will be obtainable from €105,100, and the Touring version will be available starting from €102,700.
