2025 BYD Dolphin patented in China

The patent office of China has revealed the first specifications of the BYD Dolphin facelift model.

Compared to the old version (see video), the new Dolphin sports a different front fascia, but that’s about it. Things are looking more interesting on the technical side of things, with a new 177-PS (175-hp / 130-kW) electric powertrain being added as a middle-ground alternative to the currently available 95 PS (94 hp / 70 kW) and 204 PS (201 hp / 150 kW) variants.

In related news, the affordable hatchback will be the first production car to roll off the BYD assembly line in Hungary and on sale in the EU. The factory is still under construction, but it should be complete soon.
