This 64-year-old, SEMA-built Corvette hopes you fork over $350k for it

A rather unusual restomod has cropped up on eBay earlier this week. Essentially a C1 Chevrolet Corvette rebuilt for a SEMA show in the early 2010s using newer-generation Corvette parts, it is currently listed for U.S. $349,900.

The seller claims it only has 2,595 kilometers (“over 1,612 miles”) on the odometer since the show, so it should at least feel like a new car. The engine bay is occupied by a giant 7.0-liter V8 linked to a four-speed automatic transmission. Custom cooling and a stainless-steel exhaust system enable it to push up to 505 PS (498 hp / 371 kW) to the rear wheels without any kind of forced induction. The listing doesn’t provide any sprint times, but it’s safe to assume it runs faster than the C1 ‘Vette, which reached 60 mph in 5.5 seconds.

The suspension was rebuilt using C4 Corvette components, and the wheel arches were cut to accommodate larger wheels, although the listing doesn’t mention the diameter. Further additions included a custom front fascia and relatively modern headlights. The whole exterior was given a pale champagne-tinted finish, and the cabin was trimmed with fine natural leather.

The ad is still up on eBay with one day left on the clock.
