Chevrolet has conducted a planned update of its Tahoe/Suburban SUV lineup. There are certain exterior changes, a completely overhauled interior, an improved chassis and a more powerful diesel engine.
Both models sport updated headlights with the same C-shaped DRLs. The radiator grille, the bumpers, the wheels and the exhaust tips are also new.
Inside, there analog instruments and the large center console are no more. Even in their cheapest trim version, both cars have an 11-inch digital dash and a 17.7-inch infotainment screen. The climate control panel has managed to keep its buttons and knobs untouched, and a wireless charger has been added to the center tunnel.
The stock 3.0-liter diesel has been upgraded to 309 PS (305 hp / 227 kW) and 670 Nm (494 lb-ft) of torque, a major boost compared to the old 281 PS (277 hp / 207 kW) and 623 Nm (459 lb-ft).
The two petrol V8 options have stayed the same and still produce their standard 360 and 426 PS (355 and 420 hp; 265 and 313 kW).
Last but not least, the new Tahoe and Suburban have received an interior camera to remind owners about children or pets left in the back seats. Like the surround-view cameras, you can check it at any time from your smartphone.
