Dodge Charger and Challenger say goodbye to America with new Scat Pack edition

The fuel-guzzling Dodge Charger and Challenger may never live to see another generation, but the company will not let them go without a “farewell” edition. Enter the Scat Pack Swinger!

Dirty name jokes aside, most Mopar fans will immediately recognize the moniker. The Swinger spec was popular among Dodge Dart buyers from the late 1960s until early 1970s. It is now making a comeback in two production runs restricted to 1,000 units each.

Every car comes equipped with a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 dialed up to 485 PS (478 hp / 357 kW). The difference is that, while both ship with eight-speed automatic by default, you can order the Challenger with manual instead.

The traditional Swinger finish combines green and gold colors with gold wheels and same-hued badge on the radiator grille and fenders. The Charger also boasts golden logos on its trunk lid, while the Challenger bears one on the spoiler and has a gold-tinted hood scoop. Green accents liven things up inside and out.

All pricing details will be revealed closer to the launch date.
