Ferrari Purosangue puts on camo again after premiere

Ferrari unveiled the Purosangue last month, but something must have gone awry because the Italian sports car maker sent its first SUV out for some track tests again. Here’s a spy video worth watching for multiple reasons.

Aside from having a great engine soundtrack, the footage is surprisingly extreme. The test driver seems to care little about the car, flooring the pedal after every corner and kicking out the rear wheels at every opportunity. Could it be that the engineering crew discovered room for improvement in the handling, suspension or drivetrain department? Or is it a different Purosangue spec waiting to be announced? Please share your opinion in the comments.

The Ferrari Purosangue debuted with a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 on board rated at 725 PS (715 hp / 533 kW) and 716 Nm (528 lb-ft) of torque. The company emphasized that it reached 80% of its torque potential as early on as 2,100 RPM. Sprinting from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) is a matter of 3.3 seconds, and the top speed lies at 312 km/h (194 mph).
