Infiniti QX80 revealed with specs and prices

Infiniti has finally shed light on the next QX80 generation. The sales won’t begin until summer, but we already know that the SUV will be starting from $82,450 in the U.S., up nearly $8,000 from the previous version.

The QX80 retains its body-on-frame design and benefits from numerous rigidity enhancements, the company says. For the exterior, the off-roader adopts Infiniti’s latest design language called Artistry in Motion. The range-topping Autograph spec gets 22-inch wheels and a two-tone exterior option. The headlights are now stacked in all trims. The body dimensions aren’t specified.

Inside, two 14.3-inch displays are merged into a single head unit. A 9-inch touchscreen with tactile feedback sits on the transmission tunnel.

The base trim gets you a 14-channel Klipsch audio system plus a 12-channel amp. The two top trims get a superior 24-channel system featuring titanium tweeters and an 8-inch subwoofer.

The turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 under the hood churns out 456 PS (450 hp / 336 kW) and 698 Nm (515 lb-ft) of torque in its U.S. specification, which is 50 horsepower and 138 Newton-meters more than the last generation. A modified nine-speed AT and all-wheel-drive system carry the torque to the wheels. AWD is free in the top trims and costs around $3,000 in the base trim.

The full reveal is expected to take place at the New York Auto Show next month.
