TIKT launches new upgrade kit for the Mercedes-AMG GT R

German tuner shop TIKT Performance Parts has brought out a set of upgrades meant for the Mercedes-AMG GT R. The TIKT AMG GTR1 Package comes with a new aerodynamic kit, new wheels, suspension tweaks, and a power boost for the street-legal racecar.

The vehicle comes off the assembly line equipped with an engine good for 585 hp (436 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lbft) of torque. Once upgraded with a better intercooler, a custom exhaust system and a major ECU tuning, these numbers go up to 700 hp (522 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lbft), respectively. That’s another story altogether, don’t you think?

The stock suspension gets swapped out for a custom solution based on the Bilstein MDS2 kit. At the same time, the factory wheels make room for ultralight TIKT RR-1 forged rims 19 and 20 inches in diameter, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

The body kit consists of a robust front splitter with an adjustable centerpiece, a ventilated hood, a massive rear wing and a set of purpose-built air collectors that direct air streams into a custom transmission/differential cooling system situated in the rear. All parts are made of carbon.

The rear apron sports additional reinforcements to ensure that the rear wing stays in place even with speeds reaching past 300 km/h (186 mph).

The interior of the vehicle houses a Clubsport roll cage and numerous carbon accents.
