S-Klub promises to make this Mercedes-Benz 300SL restomod real

Jon Sibal, a car designer widely known for his virtual concepts and 3D renders, has posted his vision of a restored and tuned Mercedes-Benz 300SL Speedster.

Such projects are commonly disregarded as fantasies unconnected with reality, but tuner S-Klub has already confirmed it was working on making the car real. You could remember the name from a number of projects, including a replica Porsche 550 Spyder originally built for the last year’s SEMA show.

As for the 300SL Speedster, the car looks striking thanks to its partly redesigned body and low stance. The front bumper is all-new, the fenders flared all around, and there is a gorgeous hard top that emphasizes the aerodynamic likes of the body. You can take it off when not needed, Sibal points out.

The dark green exterior benefits from gold-hued wheels with chromed rims, while the interior is trimmed with tan leather for the most part.
