G-Wagen tries on a catchy silver-carbon look

German tuning vendor Larte Design took a break from producing specially colorized violet and pink aero kits for supercars to come up with a more understated, yet still eye-catching styling package executed in a tasteful shade of silver.

The Mercedes-AMG G 63 seen above was apparently the first vehicle to try it on. The iconic body-on-frame SUV ended up with a completely different-looking hood adorned with not one, but two air intake scoops, a square-mesh radiator grille, a much bulkier aftermarket bumper and a splitter flaunting exposed carbon weave in its full glory.

The sides were allowed to stay stock this time around with rally-style wheels being one major exception. Like the rest of the car, they received a matte silver finish. The rear end wound up with a diffuser and a two-piece roof spoiler. All in all, we’ve got to hand it to Larte: regardless of how you find this particular body kit, the silver carbon fiber looks exotic and not overdone compared to most alternatives.

The company usually refrains from messing with the powertrain, so we assume the engine bay is still occupied by the G-Wagen’s standard 4.0-liter V8 factory-tuned to 585 PS (577 PS / 430 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque.

There was no mention of the pricing, but orders are already being processed.
