The Evans, from the UK, have decided to spice up their married life with the purchase of a Porsche 911 GT3 finished in Oak Green Metallic Neo. The husband and the wife, both 92 years old, confided to Top Gear Philippines that they just “like fast cars.”
Porsche Centre Bournemouth took to the social media to tell everybody about the unusual sale, only to spark new rumors. A commenter under the post said he had previously sold the same couple an Audi TTS, which they took with them on a six-week trip of Norway. No proof was provided, and we have no idea of knowing whether the Evans actually plan on driving their GT3, whether fast like it’s supposed to or at all.
This version of the 911 comes equipped with a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine rated at 510 PS (503 hp / 375 kW). It can be optioned with a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed preselector DCT. The former needs 3.9 seconds to take the coupe from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph), while the latter manages in 3.4 seconds. The top speed is also transmission-specific, but lands close to 322 km/h (200 mph) in both cases.
