Check out the Porsche-based Lykan Fakersport bid to $126k at charity auction

A replica of the Lebanese hypercar known as Lykan Hypersport is up for grabs in the United States right now, with the bidding at $126,000 and three days remaining on the clock. The seller claims all money earned will serve charity purposes, specifically, youth talent development.

The car runs on 2007 Porsche Boxster underpinnings and boasts glass-fiber plastic bodywork allegedly molded using the original W Motors (Lykan) equipment. Initially built to serve as a Furious 7 stunt car, it later embarked on a Fast&Furious Live tour and ultimately landed in a junkyard, from where it was rescued by Genius Garage.

The team of tuners put the body on a Boxster S chassis, which they stretched slightly to ensure the proper fit. While they were at it, they also added a space-frame for rigidity purposes and got rid of side windows. The windshield is made of polycarbonate and lacks a wiper of any kind. The head- and taillights all around are fake.

The suspension, steering and brakes stem from the abovementioned Boxster S with substantial improvements across the board. The seller claims the car was loaded with extra weight and made track-legal. Its 3.4-liter flat-six engine links to a manual gearbox.

Things stay stock Boxster in the cabin except for a Lykan badge on the steering wheel. The listing mentions that the front airbags are still present, although not tested, while the side ones are gone.
