A recent YouTube video shows an unlikely marriage – likely made in Hell, too – between a Rolls-Royce Phantom and a tri-axle off-road truck. The owner claims it the world’s first atrocity of this kind, and it packs lots of overlanding-friendly features.
Danton Art Kustoms delivered the conversion against a special order, taking a 2005 Phantom sedan and cutting its body near the c-pillars. They essentially redid the whole trunk area stretching the trunk lid and took the third axle from a similarly old BMW 7-Series.
24-inch wheels come wrapped in particularly slim tires sporting a ‘rugged’ tread. The fender flares all around are aluminum, and bull bars are installed on both ends. Metal side access steps let you reach the roof rack and the auxiliary light bar. Sand tracks are included for getting the Rolls out of assorted traps.
Orange leather trim is perhaps the only noticeable novelty in the cabin, although there are also black snake and crocodile leather inserts here and there.
Power for the insane build comes from the luxobarge’s stock 6.8-liter V12 rated at 460 PS (454 hp / 338 kW). The host in the video claims the car is 6x6, but supplies no details on how it was converted from RWD to 6WD (assuming this is the case).
Asked about his future plans, the owner of the monstrous RR says he is considering a six-wheel pickup conversion of the Lamborghini Urus.
