An exotic Spyker C8 Double 12S coupe from the Netherlands is on sale in Moscow, Russia right now for an asking price of 31,000,000 Rubles (a touch above 500,000 USD).
The coupe represents a road-legal modification of the Double 12R racecar and is one out of only three such vehicles in existence with an automatic transmission under the hood.
The record mentions only two owners over 19 years and 11,000 kilometers (6,835 miles) of use. The seller claims it is in excellent condition, and the photos seem to support it. Power comes from a 4.2-liter Audi V8 burning petrol for 558 PS (550 hp / 410 kW).
Ever since undergoing a reorganization, the automaker Spyker had been plagued by issues. It announced two new cars dubbed the B6 ‘Venator’ and the C8 ‘Preliator’ last decade and even managed to reach an engine supply agreement with Koenigsegg, but failed to begin production. In early 2021, Spyker Cars was once again declared bankrupt and shut down.
