Car tuning
After a hiatus that had lasted a few years, dedicated Volvo and Polestar tuner Heico Sportiv has attended this year’s Essen Motor Show with not one, but two custom vehicles – a gas-powered XC60 and an electric EX30.
Starting with the traditional SUV, it is a T8 Polestar Engineered spec further tuned to deliver up to 500 PS (492 hp / 369 kW) and 765 Nm (564 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels. With this boost, it reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill in 5.2 seconds.
No modifications were made to the dual-motor powertrain of the EX30, but the car landed with a special low-drag body kit designed to extend its range. For wheels, Heico Sportiv has three options in store: Volution X (21”), Volution V (22”), and Volution VII Forged (23”). The latter set had previously only been available for the Volvo EX90 and the Polestar 3. It comes with four authenticity certificates and unique serial numbers – one for each wheel.
While we’ve come to associate the Heico name with exhaust systems, the XC60 seen here seems to be stock in that regard. One last noteworthy modification concerns the suspension, which is around 35 mm (1.4”) lower than stock for both cars.
