Geely-owned vehicle brand Zeekr has unveiled its latest model in China: the 001 FR. The 001 liftback ended up with four electric motors and 1,265 PS (1,248 hp / 930 kW) at the wheels, enabling it to rotate around its own axle without moving. Pre-orders are already running, but monthly production will not exceed 99 units, CarNewsChina reports.
The five-door car takes 2.07 seconds to launch from a slow rolling start to 100 km/h (62 mph), or 2.37 seconds to do a standing start. The top speed is capped at 280 km/h (174 mph). The power-to-weight ratio is particularly impressive at nearly 6 horsepower per kilogram.
The FR version (which, incidentally, means ‘Future Roads’) comes equipped with a 100-kWh battery that takes 15 minutes to charge from 10 to 80 percent.
Compared to the standard Zeekr 100 EV, the FR features more pronounced bumpers and a carbon-fiber plastic kit including a front splitter, side skirts, a diffuser, a spoiler and a rear wing. It also benefits from Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes and AP Racing 10-piston calipers.
Inside, there is an 8.8-inch digital dash screen and a 15.4-inch multimedia display powered by Zeekr OS 5.0.
