Acura Integra Type S bows in the USA

Acura has finally added the driver-focused Integra Type S to its North American lineup. The car basically stays the same as the normal Honda Integra, which runs on Civic Type R underpinning, save for a bargain power boost.

The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine received a push to 324 PS (320 hp / 238 kW) and stayed at the same 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) in terms of peak torque.

Nothing exciting goes on the transmission department, either – six-speed manual is still your only option, and it is not modified from the CTR in any way. The same applies to most of the other technical bits, including adaptive shocks, front-drive system with an LSD, from McPherson struts, rear multi-link suspension, Brembo brakes, and more.

If we had to pinpoint the changes, the three exhaust tips are new, the fenders are ever-so-slightly flared, the bumpers are revised, and the rear diffuser is larger. Oh, the hood cover is made of aluminum and the air intakes are bigger all around, but that’s it.
