Witnessing an Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro live is a luxury precious very few of us can enjoy, both due to the price and the fact that there are only 40 such vehicles around in the world. Thanks to a YouTuber with the nickname 912fordgt, though, you can listen to the supercar sing its enchanting V12 song.
The car debuted as a concept in 2018 and took on a production-ready shape in July last year. Aston Martin lengthened its body by 380 mm (14.84 inches) compared to the road-legal version and widened the track at both ends. The bottom was also revised out of aerodynamic considerations. Other modifications included lowering the overall weight and adding a rather extreme body kit.
The track-only Valkyrie forgoes the original’s hybrid powertrain in favor of a proper 6.5-liter, boost-free Cosworth V12 churning out around 1,000 horsepower (750 kilowatts) without any modern drivetrain tricks.
The video shows multiple runs on a closed runway and lets you soak in the sublime sound of a true racecar engine revving up to 11,000 RPM. Make sure to put on your best headphones!
