Audi reports sinking profits

The entire Volkswagen Group is in dire straits right now, but the Audi brand looks particularly affected with a 91-perect profit nosedive in Q3.

From January to September 2024, the Ingolstadt company had received €2.1 billion in profits, down from €4.6 billion in the same nine months of the previous year. The automaker explains that it was largely due to having to shut down and sell off its factory in Brussels, Belgium.

This is not to say that Audi has otherwise fared well, though. It has sold 1.25 million vehicles over the first nine months of the year – down roughly 150,000 units from 1.4 million in 2024. This number includes all sales from Audi, Bentley and Lamborghini brands.
