Geely has held a special event to introduce the refreshed Monjaro and Preface for the domestic market. Both sport a revised exterior, updated tech and new powertrain options.
Prices for the SUV begin from 158,700 Chinese Yuan and reacj 179,700 CNY with all option boxes ticked. The sedan ranges from 98,700 to 138,700 CNY, reports AutoHome.cn.
If you are looking for a way to tell the new cars from their pre-facelift versions, look no further than the front bumper. There are also some new color and wheel options on the list, but that’s about it. The Monjaro SUV now features two 14.6-inch displays – one for the infotainment system and the other one for the front passenger. They are accompanied by a 12.3-inch digital dashboard and a 25.6-inch HUD.
The Preface saloon hasn’t changed nearly as much, but Geely says its infotainment UI is all-new and more practical. Both can be optioned with the G-Pilot H3 ADAS package, and the Monjaro can be specced with adaptive suspension for a particularly smooth ride.
The SUV now ships exclusively with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine boosted to 272 PS (268 hp / 200 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission carries the torque to the wheels, and you can get AWD if you pay for the top trim.
In turn, the sedan gets the same 2.0L engine in its top three trim levels. The more wallet-friendly variants come equipped with a 1.5-liter engine capable of 181 PS (179 hp / 133 kW) and 290 Nm (214 lb-ft) of torque in tandem with a seven-speed DCT.
