The new Jeep Wrangler 4xe Backcountry packs no extra power or torque, but a rugged body kit and all-terrain tires make it a passable off-roader.
The SUV corresponds to the Sahara spec (see video), but with new stainless-steel bumpers, skid plates, guard trims and 20-inch heavy-duty wheels wrapped in 32-inch General Grabber A/T tires. Some of the trim options have become standard in this version, and new décor has been added all around.
Things have stayed stock under the hood. This means a 2.0-liter engine and an electric motor integrated into an 8AT uniting their efforts for 380 PS (375 hp / 279 kW) and 637 Nm (470 lb-ft) of torque.
The Backcountry edition will be limited to 5,800 production units priced from $64,300.
