Supercars can attain criminal accelerations on public roads, but raw power alone isn’t the answer when it comes to circuit racing – and even drag racing, as Carwow proves with its latest video pitting a Lambo Huracan Performante Spyder up against a motorbike.
The 5.2-liter V10 of the Lamborghini coupe sports a few serious performance upgrades here, but first and foremost a couple of high-end turbochargers. It now hits all four wheels with an estimated total of 1,100 horsepower (820 kilowatts). It is also quite light at just 1,507 kilograms (3,322 pounds).
Going up against it is a Red Bull MotoGP bike weighing in at 150 kg (330 lbs). The formidable track machine produces 270 PS (266 hp / 200 kW) and 120 Nm (89 lb-ft) of torque. It is also driven by a star driver, so the Lambo had better start sweating.
Make sure you watch the video, because both manage to cross the finish line in under 10 seconds and the gap is minimal.
