Lamborghini sheds some light on a “super-SUV” EV slated for 2029 launch

The Italian supercar maker has just clarified some points in its EV strategy for the remainder of the decade, CarBuzz reports quoting company CEO Stephan Winkelmann.

In addition to the previously announced Urus hybrid and Huracan successor, the company will be releasing a production car based on the Lanzador EV (seen in the gallery and the video here). It will also be launching a mysterious “super-SUV” running on battery power. This is interesting, because Lambo’s original statement said it would only focus on releasing one EV until 2030.

There are still no details regarding the SUV. All we know is that it is slated to arrive in the market in 2029, one year after the Lanzador. As such, it is possible that the two will share the same architecture and technology. It is also possible that the electric SUV will become Lambo’s new flagship.

Before that can happen, the company will release a Urus facelift that will bring along a hybrid powertrain option. Prototypes of the SUV have already been spotted on the streets. Later this year, the company also plans to unveil the Huracan successor. It is expected to be priced much more attractively than the Revuelto.
