MSO unveils a unique McLaren 600LT Spider

McLaren Special Operations, the company’s in-house tuner specializing in the customization of McLaren supercars, has unveiled a unique 600LT Spider. Let us have a closer look at the highlights, shall we?

The roadster has received the full MSO Defined Visual Carbon Fiber package, including front fender air intakes, 10-spoke forged rims with a glossy black finish, and the MSO Bespoke Carbon Black retractable hard top.

However, the main distinguishing feature of the vehicle is its unique livery. The grey color creates a compelling combination with all the fluorescent green highlights created using an innovative technology. Specifically, MSO applies an ultra-thin layer of the fluorescent paint to a film base and then uses it to laminate various car parts (the rear diffuser, the doors, the side sills and the front splitter). The same kind of “scintillating metallic” treatment was first used on a 675LT.

The interior of the McLaren 600LT Spider by MSO houses carbon seats, decorative carbon inserts, contrast-rich stitching, and Alcantara on the ceiling and the steering wheel.

The engine compartment of the vehicle holds a 3.8-liter V8 Twin turbo manufacturer-rated at 600 hp (447 kW). The car accelerated 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.9 seconds and doesn’t hit its speed ceiling until 324 km/h (201 mph).

The tuned roadster will be present for everyone to see at the upcoming 2019 Geneva Motor Show.
