Suzuki Swift gets an engine boost

Hardly had Kuhl Racing released a new body, wheels and suspension kit for the Suzuki Swift Sport when HKS announced an engine upgrade for the same car model.

The Suzuki Swift rolls off the production line armed with a 1.4-liter engine capable of only 136 hp (101 kW). The HKS team succeeded in boosting it by 25 hp (19 kW) to a total of 161 hp (120 kW).

This was accomplished via increasing the turbocharger pressure (+1.1 bar), upgrading the filter and installing a new HKS Legamax Premium exhaust system.

Aside from the above, the Suzuki Swift Sport received a set of new wheels and new HKS Hipermax IV suspension with low ride height.

The price of the package remains unknown.
