15 hardcore upgrades will turn the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 into a monster truck

Chevrolet just announced 15 performance parts for the new Colorado ZR2 Bison pickup truck. Once installed, they will turn the vehicle into a veritable monster on wheels.

All components can be purchased separately or as a package, the latter option being cheaper. Most of them improve suspension in one way or another. For instance, the new Multimatic DSSV shock absorbers improve front suspension travel by 15% ($4,187) and the rear travel by 10% ($4,000).

Those who want even more engine protection may opt for secondary nitrogen-charged shock absorbers. These cost $1,231 for the front and $1,531 for the rear axle, plus $2,062 for the mandatory installation kit.

If you want the best of the best, consider new Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison springs that cost $3,312 and raise the car by additional 30 mm (1.18 inches). There is also a new stainless-steel driveshaft for those who need that extra bit of ground clearance ($518).

All of the abovementioned components are available for purchase; the rest will go on sale next year.
