Bentley Flying Spur First Edition new details, premiere date revealed

The Bentley Flying Spur First Edition will celebrate its official premiere in France tomorrow, July 24, 2019. The production span will be limited to one calendar year.

Compared to the regular Flying Spur, the 1st Edition sports the “Flying B” hood ornament, a Union Jack badge on the a-pillar, and “First Edition” inscriptions on the sills. It also rides on larger 22-inch wheels.

Tech-wise, the special series will ship with the same 6.0-liter V12 engine rated at 635 hp (474 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. Acceleration from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) will be a matter of 3.8 seconds, and the top going speed will be capped at 333 km/h (207 mph). The cars will ship with the full suite of electronic driver aids.

Bentley will sell the first car to roll off the assembly line at an auction and donate the profits to charity organizations. Pre-orders are already available in some regions, and sales should begin next year.
