Military-spec Hummers and Willys go up on sale in the USA

RM Sotheby’s will hold an auction early in May dedicated to a number of street-legal military vehicles, each coming with its own army service record.

The first item is the amphibian car called Argo Frontier 650 (shown on the video). It has eight wheels and is said to feel equally at home in off-road wilderness and in water. It comes powered by a small 0.6-liter, two-cylinder engine rated at 23 hp (17 kW), which links to an IVT transmission.

Another highlight is a 1997 Hummer H1 packing a 6.5-liter diesel V8 good for 208 hp (154 kW).

Also looking for new owners are a 1962 Steyr-Puch Haflinger Series II, a perfectly restored and drivable 1945 Willys MB, and an American Motors M422A1 Mighty-Mite airborne assault vehicle.
