Japanese tuner reminisces about early 20th century cars

Japanese company Blaze has unveiled its newest project named EV Classic. The electric car is a stylish homage to the vintage rides of the early twentieth century. Ordering is available from 880,000 Yen ($8,470 USD at current rates).

The single-seater weighs in at mere 200 kg (440 lbs) and is 2,330 mm (7.64 feet) long. Aside from the miniature dimensions, it catches attention thanks to its protruding hood, large wheels with wire-mesh spokes, and round LED headlights.

Powering the blast from the past is a small electric motor rated at just 4 horsepower (3 kilowatts) and 28 Newton-meters (21 pound-feet) of torque. Once charged, it offers up to 50 kilometers (31 miles) of range and can accelerate up to 50 km/h (31 mph). Blaze lists a spare battery, a rain cover and an AC adaptor under options.
