Everrati switches Porsche 964 Cabrio to electric power

Everrati has unveiled an open-top, widebody version of the Porsche 964 running on 507 PS of electric power. According to the tuner, this is the world’s first EV conversion of this particular model.

From the design point of view, the classic got to keep its exterior unchanged except for minor changes here and there. Where things get exciting is under the hood: a single electric motor drives the rear wheels with 507 PS (500 hp / 373 kW), taking the cabriolet from standstill to 60 mph (97 km/h) in under four seconds. A 62-kWh traction battery on board gives it 200 miles (322 km) of range.

Those looking to cut corners on electric internals may choose a motor rated at just 446 PS (440 hp /328 kW). Interestingly, the original ICE drivetrain stays in place, meaning the car can be reverted to its original state without too much hassle. Its performance and handling are said to be comparable with those of the original thanks to careful weight distribution between the axles.

It is unknown how much a Porsche 964 Cabrio EV like this will cost, but Everrati has already performed such conversions on its coupe sibling, asking between $260,000 and $325,000 before taxes and not counting the donor car.
