Lamborghini makes honey, too bad it’s not for sale

Lamborghini has shared another video dedicated to its own apiary. Inhabited by some 600,000 bees since 2016, the grounds currently yield around 430 kilograms of product per year. But rather than sell it, Lambo distributes the honey among its entire staff when Christmas comes.

The company decided to approach diversification rather originally six years ago, opting for a sustainable agricultural business having nothing to do with producing cars. In addition to the apiary, the Italian manufacturer owns a leasing bureau, a gift shop, car customization centers, and assorted event spaces.

Lamborghini pursues other eco-friendly initiatives, too. For one, it owns and maintains the largest solar farm in Emilia-Romagna, Italy. Utilizing solar energy helped the company reduce its emissions by more than 2,000 metric tons over the past 12 years.
