Polestar 5 prototype EV revs up for Goodwood

The Polestar 5 is only set to reach the mass market in 2024, but the automaker intends to reveal a production-close prototype at the Goodwood Festival of Speed later this month. The car will even join the traditional hill climb run.

Polestar revealed a concept called Precept in 2020, promising back then to bring it into production with only minimal design changes. The latest patent shots of the car seem to confirm that this is the case.

The Goodwood participation announcement came with more photos. The pre-production test car wears a wrap, but you can still see how similar it is to the Precept. There are headlights sticking from round openings in the wrap, and a large charging port can be seen on the upper part of a front fender. Of course, there is no guarantee the final production version will look the same.
