Tuning do carro

Gallery: Gemballa MARSIEN cruising the coast at Cap Ferrat

Around three years ago, Marc Philipp Gemballa announced his most ambitious tuning project to date: the MARSIEN (see video). The idea was to take a normal Porsche 911 (992) and turn it into a supercar equally fast on the road and on rough terrain. Many examples have already shipped, and one has been recently photographed by Oscar Bakke neat Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat in France.

As you can see for yourself, the project is extremely extensive and provides for the replacement of at least 422 OEM parts with new ones, some of them fabricated by hand. Thousands of hours of work are required to put together just one example. Every car gets a smooth body inspired by the Paris-Dakar Rally aesthetics, a futuristic body kit and a purpose-built engine from RUF Automobile dialed up to 750 PS (740 hp / 552 kW).

The company never mentioned any prices, but all 40 MARSIEN examples planned for production had been sold either before or during the official premiere.
