Check out a weird gull-winged SUV that was once a Volvo XC90

Very few tuning projects out there are dedicated to the Volvo XC90 – a massive, safe, family-friendly premium SUV not exactly known for its sprint times or off-road abilities. Still, India-based tuning shop DC2 decided to challenge those stereotypes.

The result looks eccentric, to say the least – good luck discerning a Volvo XC90 underneath all that custom-fabricated bodywork. Not only that, but the lighting all around is new, and the rear end flaunts a massive grille just like the front with dual tailpipes of obscenely large diameter.

Out of the five original doors (including the tailgate), only two remain and they swing open upwards like a gull’s wings. The side windows are very small and look like they only open a little bit, like on some racecars. There are four seats inside.

DC2 does not explain what exactly the idea behind this bizarre creation was, but, judging by the abundant ground clearance and off-road tires, it could have been made for someone who often goes off the trodden path. We have been unable to find any technical specs so far.
