Ram 1500 gets boosted and dropped for a dynamic urban driving experience

Suspension manufacturer Fox Factory has joined efforts with Mopar to launch a special edition of the Ram 1500 pickup. It features a supercharger tune to 659 PS (650 hp / 485 kW) and – you guessed it – a brand-new suspension setup for sharper handling.

Starting with the 1500 Big Horn modification, the company equips the stock 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with a twin-screw Whipple supercharger. It fits both the RWD and the AWD variant of the truck, making them faster sprinters thanks to a 3.92 rear-axle ratio.

In turn, Ridetech suspension mods help reduce the ground clearance by 76 mm (3 inches) at the front and 141 mm (5.5 inches) at the back. Tubular control arms, aftermarket traction bars and coil-overs improve handling and prevent the wheels from popping up at launch.

The truck is still good for carrying weights up to 866 kg (1,910 lbs) and towing trailers up to 5,134 kg (11,320 lbs). Prices start from $90,000 for the RWD variant before any options.
