Volvo XC90 Black Edition goes on sale in EU & UK

Volvo has launched a blackout package for its XC90 full-size crossover. Ordering is already available in Europe and Great Britain, and black isn’t the only exterior finish on the menu.

Customers can choose from four available body colors – white, grey, blue and black. All chrome parts, including the radiator grille, the window bezels, the badges and the wheels, become black in this version.

Volvo lists two dark interior trims to go with the package and offers it with both hybrid powertrain types – mild and PHEV. It is the company’s fifth Black Edition so far, with the all-electric EX30 next in the waiting queue.

In related news, the Swedish automaker has posted its sales report for January–September 2025. The year-on-year sales were up 1% last month, but down 8% over the nine-month period. The EV segment took the biggest hit with a 21% year-on-year fall. In the company’s own sales structure, the XC90 landed third in popularity after the XC60 and XC40/EX40.
