0-200 km/h in 9.1 secs: Audi RS2 unleashes its bestial nature

Popular YouTube channel – AutoTopNL – has recently published a video with an acceleration test of a thoroughly modded 1994 Audi RS2. After all the tinkering, the nominal performance of the estate/wagon skyrocketed to nearly 250% of its factory value!

Specifically, the old RS2 normally comes equipped with a 2.2-liter five-cylinder engine good for 311 hp (232 kW) and 410 Nm (302 lb-ft) of torque. With enough boost pressure, the mill begins churning out ludicrous 709 hp (529 kW) along with 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. Impressive, isn’t it?

The harmless-looking family car then proceeds to accelerate from nothing to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.5 seconds and hit 200 km/h (124 mph) mere 5.6 s after that. It doesn’t reach its capacity until at least 302 km/h (187.7 mph).

This particular Audi RS2 also sports a low stance, custom alloys and a performance exhaust system. Nothing is being revealed about any of these upgrades, though.
