BMW 7-Series facelift touches down in Beijing

Rather than wait for the Auto China 2026 to open its doors for everyone, BMW has unveiled its refreshed 7-Series lineup to the media. The first vehicles are slated to reach showrooms in mid-summer, with the all-electric i7 priced from $107,750 in the United States.

Other than some lighting and body kit tweaks, the 7-Series looks the same as before the update. Much more novelty can be found in the cabin, which now utilizes numerous luxury trimming materials together. The list includes fine leather, textile, wood, metal, and crystal glass. The main display arrangement comprises an ultrawide Panoramic iDrive screen under the windshield, a 17.9-inch head unit and a 14.6-inch front passenger display. Paying extra adds a 31-inch TV for the rear row occupants.

Powertrain-wise, BMW has every audience covered with petrol and diesel ICE cars, mild hybrids, PHEVs and BEVs on offer (although some options may be region-locked). To name just a few highlights, the range-topping plug-in hybrid called the M760e xDrive has 612 PS (603 hp / 450 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque at its disposal. Once fully charged, it can cover roughly 80 kilometers (50 miles) in all-electric mode.

The best EV in the lineup – the i7 M70 xDrive – commands 680 PS (671 hp / 500 kW) alongside 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque and has 566 km (351 miles) of minimum range. Charging is supported from sources rated up to 250 kW, and all EV traction batteries are supplied by Rimac.
