Sam CarLegion had another fun-filled weekend testing performance cars, and here’s the footage: a muscle-bound Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 goes up against a lighter, nimbler BMW M2 coupe.
Starting with the Camaro, it utilizes a 6.2-liter V8 boosted to deliver 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels. On the downside, it also weighs much more than its rival does.
The Bavarian ride makes do with an inline-six mill twin-turbo’d to 460 PS (454 hp / 338 kW) and 406 Nm (300 lb-ft) of torque. Its main advantage is the low curb weight, as we hinted above.
With both cars having a six-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive, you’d think the advantage is on the Camaro’s side. Still, we suggest watching all the races because that’s not quite the case all the time.
