Manhart puts some extra polish on the BMW M4 CSL

The new Manhart MH4 GTR II is the most hardcore M4 produced by the German tuner so far, since it uses the CSL spec as the starting point, adding more than 150 horsepower to it.

The company glosses over the specifics of the upgrade, mentioning only a new ECU and multiple exhaust system options. What we do know is that the resulting output amounts to 702 PS (692 hp / 516 kW) and 880 Nm (649 lb-ft) of torque. The standard M4 CSL pushes 550 PS (542 hp / 404 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) to the wheels.

In fact, the Manhart MH4 GTR II packs a bigger punch than the stock BMW 3.0 CSL, which debuted not long ago as the Bavarian carmaker’s most powerful production car ever equipped with a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine.

For the chassis, you can opt for H&R coilovers, suspension tweaks and 20-inch Yido Performance forged wheels. The demo vehicle has matte black rims with red accents installed, but customers are free to choose virtually any tint.

Then there is the red-and-black body kit comprising as many as 18 parts. The list includes a new hood, a front splitter, front bumper extensions, a multi-piece rear spoiler and a bulky rear diffuser. Rounding things off is Manhart’s traditional vinyl wrap.

Inside, the rear seats are replaced with a roll bar, the front seats have four-point safety harnesses on them, and the driver gets a carbon helmet for track days.

Manhart does not mention the full price, but says the wheels alone come in at €5,000, the springs at €1,137 and the hood cover at a whopping €6,425. Interestingly enough, the tuner is willing to convert regular BMW M4 Competition coupes into the Manhart MH4 GTR II spec, so it looks the CSL badge is actually not a hard requirement.
