The saloon-shaped BMW M8 Gran Coupe packs class-leading amounts of power straight from the factory line, but G-Power used its tuning expertise to turn this example into a true monster of a car.
In a recent video by AutoTopNL, the performance sedan hits a German autobahn with the view of unlocking its full speed potential. As you may remember, the latest generation comes equipped with a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 good for 625 PS (616 hp / 460 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque.
G-Power works its magic on the powertrain to persuade it to make around 820 PS (809 hp / 603 kW) along with 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque. Included in the Stage 3 kit are improved turbos, sports-grade downpipes, a GP Deeptone muffler culminating in quad carbon-fiber tips, and an ECU tune.
According to the video, the car had no trouble at all climbing to 290 km/h (180 mph), and could have probably exceeded 322 km/h (200 mph) if it weren’t for the intervening traffic.
