Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing dials up luxury in Curated edition

Curated by Cadillac has unveiled its latest creation, a CT5-V Blackwing sporting a unique interior and lots of handcrafted details. Customers can already apply for their own, highly personalized version, although it does come with a hefty price bump.

Cadillac’s Curated series of vehicles can be painted to order using more than 160 available exterior colors and trimmed in hundreds of color/material combos. There are millions of possible combinations, so those ordering can always make their ride unique.

All vehicles from the Curated series are processed at the Artisan Center in Michigan where they are painstakingly painted and trimmed by hand. This also puts a significant premium onto the price. Whereas a standard Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing may cost you $158,000 or so, this special edition will be roughly $56,000 more.

Everything stays standard under the hood. In this particular case, it means a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 sending 677 PS (668 hp / 498 kW) to the wheels via either a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic transmission.
