Hardcore Chevy Blazer revs up for NASCAR

Soon after introducing the supercar-like Blazer EV SS for the mass market, Chevrolet hs unveiled its Blazer EV.R for the NASCAR series.

Aside from the “Blazer EV” lettering, the racecar has zero things in common with its civilian counterpart. It is built from special carbon fiber panels around a space frame and rocks a trio of six-phase electric motors jointly rated at 1,319 PS (1,301 hp / 970 kW). A 78-kWh, liquid-cooled battery pack supplies the power.

The official reveal took place at yesterday’s Daytona 500 race.
